Lights of Ennis Parade, Block Party and Christmas Bluebonnet Market - Kick off the holiday season with the Christmas Parade of Lights, Block Party and Christmas Market! Thank you to Ennis Chamber of Commerce for hosting the amazing holiday parade! This is a festive scene you don't want to miss! Lights of Ennis Parade Applications are now available at through November 17, 2023.


Holiday Carriage & Surrey Rides - Experience holiday magic in historic downtown Ennis, Texas via a horse drawn carriage or surrey through the charming, tree-lined historic neighborhoods and downtown aglow with Holiday Lights. More information coming soon on this ticketed event. 

Elf Seek & Find - Enjoy fun-themed holiday windows and decorations from our charming downtown merchants. Pick up your Elf Seek & Find map from the Welcome Center at 201 NW Main in December to see if you can find all of our downtown elves!

Cookies with Mrs. Claus - Take part in a magical Christmas experience with Mrs. Claus! Each child will be greeted by their host, Mrs. Claus and decorate a beautiful illuminated gingerbread house with plenty of candy adornment options! Kick off the holiday season with the Christmas Parade of Lights and Block Party in Downtown Ennis! This is a wonderful event for the entire family to enjoy! See schedule below. The schedule is subject to any change.

5:00pm - 8:30pm: Open House at the Ennis Railroad and Cultural Heritage Museum, 105 NE Main Street. Refreshments, model train and Frosty the Snowman photos from 5:00pm - 7:00pm.

5:00pm - 9:00pm: Christmas Bluebonnet Market on N Dallas St.

5:00pm – 8:00pm: Dasher and Dancer (Live Reindeer)

5:00pm – 7:00pm and 7:30pm - 8:30pm: Children’s Christmas Crafts at the Welcome Center at 201 NW Main St.

5:00pm – 7:00pm and 7:30pm - 9:00pm: Train Display at the Welcome Center at 201 NW Main St.

5:30pm -6:00pm: Ennis Jr. High Band Ensemble performs at 108 W Knox St.

6:00pm: Nutcracker Short and Suite performed by Avante Guarde at Minnie McDowal Park.

5:30pm – 6:45pm and 7:45pm - 9:00pm: Santa Claus will be at the Ennis Welcome Center. Photographer will be available for FREE family photos - sponsored by City Real Estate and Guild Mortgage.

7:00pm: Christmas Parade of Lights. The Ennis Choral Department will be caroling after the parade.

7:45pm: Santa’s Workshop performed by GO! Dance & Gymnastics Studio at Minnie McDowal Park.


Enjoy photo opportunities with Mrs. Claus, Santa Claus and the Grinch! Stroll and enjoy the splendor of all the holiday window decorations in the downtown storef ronts.


FOOD: Food trucks will be available on N Dallas St. on Thursday, Nov. 30 starting at 5:00 pm.
