STOP SIXTEEN: City Hall

107 North Sherman Street

Welcome to Stop 16 of the Rails, Bales and Bluebonnet Trails historic downtown Ennis walking tour. In order to prepare itself for future growth, the City of Ennis moved from its 100-year-old home on 115 W. Brown Street, where the original police and fire departments were headquartered, to 107 N. Sherman Street. Originally built in 1950, this building was the headquarters for Ennis Business Forms for nearly 30 years. The City of Ennis has since acquired the building and completed an extensive renovation. It now houses many of their departments including utility billing and their municipal court.
