BLUES ON MAIN - SATURDAY, AUGUST 31st & SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 1st, 2024

Come join us for an evening filled with smooth tunes and soulful blues in Downtown Ennis. Get ready to groove to the melodies of Bnois King Band featuring Texas Slim, Jay B and the Zydeco Posse and Larry Lampkin. Comedian Edwin Douglas will rock the house with laughter on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday's Gospel Brunch will have the sounds of the Mark A. Turner Gospel Jazz Band and on stage MC, Minister David Duke. This two day event will be hosted by Unity in the Community of Ennis and the Ennis Main Street. Don't miss the annual Blues on Main! Come enjoy live music with DJ Bubba Yae, MC Comedian, games, raffles and a host of other entertainers. Be prepared for mouth watering food and merchandise vendors and a family friendly Kid's Zone.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there an admission fee for the Blues on Main Festival?

The Blues on Main is August 31, 2024 and the Sunday Gospel Brunch is Sunday, September 1, 2024. This year, the admission is free on both days. However, activities at the festival (kids activities, food, vendors, beer and VIP Pavilion) are fee based. 

 

Is there alcohol served at the festival?

Beer and margaritas will be served in downtown Ennis at the Beverage Spot Pavilion.

 

What place do you recommend for lodging?

Can you bring dogs to the festival?

Small dogs are allowed at the downtown festival.  All pets must be on a leash and no exoctic animals are allowed (reptiles, etc.)

 

What times does the event start and end?

Blues on Main on Saturday is from 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. and the Sunday Gospel Brunch is from 10 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

 

Where do I park?

Parking is available on Ennis Ave at the Public Parking area, as well as any available parking downtown.

 

Are bikes and skateboards allowed?

No skateboards, bicycle or wheeled devices are allowed, with the exception of wheelchairs and strollers.

 

Can I bring a cooler or outside food?

No outside food, drinks or coolers allowed. Food and beverages are available for purchase inside the festival. There will be beer and margaritas served at the festival.

 

Can I bring my lawn chair(s)?

Yes, you can bring a lawn chair. There will be some seating available, including VIP seating for a minimal fee.

What other activities will be going on inside the festival?

Visitors can also expect a little r&b blues, zydeco, and blues music, line dancing performances, a variety of food selections, local artisan vendors, kid crafts & activities and more!

Do you have vendor spaces available?

Vendor spaces are available! Please visit Blues on Main Food and Merchandise Vendor Application to apply. The application deadline is August 1, 2024.
